As we near the end of October we approach a time where we might take a moment to celebrate and give thanks to God for our gifts and our life. Psalm 100 the writer invites us to be in a state of thankful joy. “Shout for joy to the Lord, of THE EARTH … Come into his presence with thanksgiving …” May the following prayer guide us in our celebration of thanksgiving:
Almighty God, we give thanks for the fruits of the earth and for the work of those who harvested. Help us to be faithful stewards of the abundance we receive from you to meet our needs and help those who are in need, so that your name be glorified. Amen. (Christian Festival 2003)
Al culminar octubre realizamos que nos aproximamos a la época donde separamos un momento para celebrar y dar gracias a Dios por sus dones y la vida. El Salmo 100 expresa en las palabras del escritor una invitación a dar gracias con alegría. “Aclamen alegres al Señor, habitantes de la tierra… Entren a su presencia con acción de gracias…” Que la siguiente oración nos sirva de guía en nuestra celebración y acción de gracias:
Todo poderoso Dios, te damos gracias por el fruto de la tierra y por las labores de quienes la cosechan. Ayúdanos a ser fieles administradores de la abundancia que recibimos de ti para suplir nuestras necesidades y ayudar al que está en necesidad, para que tu nombre sea glorificado. Amén. (Fiesta Cristiana 2003)
